Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a second shift Service Support Technician to diagnose and repair customer products returned for service. You will report to the Senior Service Manager and collaborate with Technicians and Customer Service to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include repairing subassemblies, interpreting schematics, and maintaining data records, while ensuring instruments return to original specifications and complying with quality standards.

Qualifications

• A.S. Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical training.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in standard tools and test equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings and test procedures.
• Experience with PC-based applications including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Performing repairs to subassembly level.
• Interfacing with various departments to meet customer requirements.
• Make adjustments to return instruments to original specifications.
• Completing and maintaining data records on instruments returned for service.
• Maintaining standards and test equipment required to accomplish the tasks listed above.

This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
