Albertsons Companies in Alexandria, LA is hiring a Service Supervisor to lead daily Front End operations, ensuring outstanding customer service and efficient checkout processes.

You will supervise cash handling, train cashiers and courtesy clerks, and maintain a safe, clean front-end environment while coordinating with store leadership to meet service standards.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Service Supervisor supports and supervises daily Front End operations to ensure exceptional customer service, efficient checkout operations, accurate cash handling, appropriate staffing, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This position provides direction to Front End associates and helps maintain a welcoming, organized, and customer‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Front End Operations

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
• Supervise daily Front End activities and maintain smooth customer flow.
• Monitor checkout lines and adjust associate coverage based on business needs.
• Assist customers with questions, concerns, refunds, and other service needs.
• Promote a positive shopping experience and respond appropriately to customer concerns.
• Ensure Front End areas remain clean, organized, and customer‑ready.

Cash Handling & Checkout

• Support accurate cash handling and register procedures.
• Assist with register transactions, overrides, refunds, and other authorized functions.
• Monitor cash accountability and adherence to established procedures.
• Assist with balancing registers and completing required Front End documentation.
• Identify and communicate cash‑handling discrepancies to appropriate store leadership.

Team Leadership & Training

• Assign daily responsibilities and provide direction to Front End associates.
• Train and support cashiers, courtesy clerks, and other service associates.
• Reinforce customer‑service expectations and Front End standards.
• Monitor associate workflow, productivity, and completion of assigned responsibilities.
• Provide coaching and direction when service or operational opportunities are identified.
• Support appropriate Front End coverage during breaks, lunches, and periods of increased customer traffic.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized Front End environment.
• Ensure associates follow established safety and security procedures.
• Monitor the Front End for potential hazards and promptly address or report concerns.
• Follow company policies related to cash handling, customer transactions, and loss prevention.
• Support compliance with applicable company policies and operational procedures.

Store & Administrative Support

• Communicate staffing, customer‑service, equipment, and operational concerns to store leadership.
• Assist with opening and closing Front End procedures.
• Complete required records, reports, and documentation.
• Support price checks, customer inquiries, and other store operational needs.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve customer concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
