TP Mechanical Contractors seeks a Service SPD Project Manager II to oversee assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time completion, profitability, and client satisfaction. This role collaborates with multiple departments to align scope, schedule, and budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial plumbing or mechanical fields and 3+ years in project management, with proficiency in Procore/Bluebeam/Excel. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years commercial plumbing/mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall profitability and timely completion of projects.
• Reviews job cost, status, manpower and change orders; conducts monthly reviews.
• Direct point of contact for clients, architects, and subcontractors; coordinates with team.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and manage their productivity.
• Engage with existing and potential clients to identify new opportunities.
• Lead SPD teams to identify process improvements.
• Coordinate manpower and equipment for each job.
• Oversee buyout, job-closeouts, and change orders.

Position Description

SERVICE SPD PROJECT MANAGER II

Reports To: Sr. Project Manager FLSA: Exempt

Position Summary: Oversees entire projects to which he/she is assigned. Works with other departments to ensure all jobs are completed timely and profitably. Develop relationships both inside and outside of the company that promote TP Mechanical Contractors and the Project Management Department in a professional manner.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Responsible for the overall profitability of their projects. Ensure proper timelines and all requirements are met for all projects. Ensuring billing, change orders, collections, etc. are completed in a timely manner for each project. Keeps the management staff up to date on all project issues and maintains high client satisfaction.
• Reviews job cost, job status, manpower and change order reports to provide analysis monthly. Conducts regular/monthly job cost reviews to accurately reflect project profitability and status of all project issues.
• Acts as the direct point of contact for clients, architects and subcontractors. Communicates and troubleshoots with project superintendents, construction managers and General Contractors. Also, communicate effectively with all project managers, administrative assistants and other departments through meetings, memos, e-mails, etc.
• Subcontractor and Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts, hire subcontractors, and manage their productivity, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Business Development: Engage with existing and potential clients to identify new opportunities and support the growth of SPD division. Ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Lead SPD teams to identify opportunities for process improvement. Team collaboration and fostering an environment of teamwork.
• Coordinates proper manpower and equipment for each job.
• Oversee the buyout process, job-closeouts, and project change orders for all projects.
• Conducts/attends weekly job-site visits and job meetings.
• Work with estimating to develop scopes of work. Ensure proper job setup, contract review, estimated costs and schedule of values are done in a timely and accurate manner.
• Generates project manager reports and attends project management meetings as appropriate.
• For each project: tracks submittals, generates purchase orders and negotiates subcontracts and purchases.
• All other duties as assigned.
