Job summary

TP Mechanical is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial plumbing/mechanical projects in Cincinnati, OH. You will drive profitability, manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor activities, and coordinate manpower and equipment on site.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in plumbing/mechanical work and 3 years in project management, with strong communication and accounting skills. A valid driver’s license and site presence are required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall profitability of projects and ensuring timely completion.
• Review job cost, status, manpower and change orders; provide monthly analysis.
• Communicate with project stakeholders including superintendents, PMs, and GC.
• Coordinate manpower and equipment for each job.
• Oversee buyout, closeouts, and change orders.
• Attend weekly job-site visits and project meetings.
• Ensure proper job setup, contract review, and scheduling of values.
• Generate project manager reports and participate in PM meetings.
• Track submittals, issue purchase orders, and negotiate subcontracts/purchases.

Description Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for the overall profitability of their projects. Ensures proper timelines and all requirements are met for all projects. Ensures billing, change orders, collections, etc. are completed in a timely manner for each project. Keeps the management staff up to date on all project issues.
• Reviews job cost, job status, manpower and change order reports to provide analysis monthly. Conducts regular/monthly job cost reviews to accurately reflect project profitability and status of all project issues.
• Communicates and troubleshoots with project superintendents, construction managers and General Contractors. Also, communicates effectively with all project managers, administrative assistants and other departments through meetings, memos, e-mails, etc.
• Coordinates proper manpower and equipment for each job.
• Oversees the buyout process, job-closeouts, and project change orders for all projects.
• Conducts/attends weekly job-site visits and job meetings.
• Ensures proper job setup, contract review, estimated costs and schedule of values are done in a timely and accurate manner.
• Generates project manager reports and attends project management meetings as appropriate.
• For each project: tracks submittals, generates purchase orders and negotiates subcontracts and purchases.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

• Experience/Qualifications Required:
• Minimum 5 years commercial plumbing/mechanical experience.
• 3 years of prior project management experience

Education

• Capable of climbing off/on equipment and ladders.
• Able to walk job sites.
