Job summary

TP Mechanical Contractors is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee full projects, coordinate with estimating, field teams, and other departments, and ensure timely, profitable delivery of work.

You will build relationships with clients and subcontractors, manage change orders and billing, and review job costs monthly to keep projects on track and financially sound. This role requires strong leadership and a focus on safe, high‑quality execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years commercial plumbing/mechanical experience.
• 3 years of prior project management experience.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Excel and scheduling software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall profitability of projects and ensure timely completion, including billing and change orders.
• Review job cost, status, manpower and change orders to reflect profitability monthly.
• Act as main client/architect/subcontractor contact and coordinate with all teams.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Drive business development and opportunities for SPD division.
• Lead SPD teams to identify process improvements and foster teamwork.
• Coordinate manpower and equipment and oversee buyouts, closeouts, and changes.
• Attend weekly site visits and project management meetings; generate PM reports.

Oversees entire projects to which he/she is assigned. Works with other departments to ensure all jobs are completed timely and profitably. Responsibilities And Duties

• Responsible for the overall profitability of their projects. Ensure proper timelines and all requirements are met for all projects. Ensuring billing, change orders, collections, etc. are completed in a timely manner for each project. Keeps the management staff up to date on all project issues and maintains high client satisfaction.
• Reviews job cost, job status, manpower and change order reports to provide analysis monthly. Conducts regular/monthly job cost reviews to accurately reflect project profitability and status of all project issues.
• Acts as the direct point of contact for clients, architects and subcontractors. Communicates and troubleshoots with project superintendents, construction managers and General Contractors. Also, communicate effectively with all project managers, administrative assistants and other departments through meetings, memos, e-mails, etc.
• Subcontractor and Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts, hire subcontractors, and manage their productivity, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Business Development: Engage with existing and potential clients to identify new opportunities and support the growth of SPD division. Ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Lead SPD teams to identify opportunities for process improvement. Team collaboration and fostering an environment of teamwork.
• Coordinates proper manpower and equipment for each job.
• Oversee the buyout process, job-closeouts, and project change orders for all projects.
• Conducts/attends weekly job-site visits and job meetings.
• Work with estimating to develop scopes of work. Ensure proper job setup, contract review, estimated costs and schedule of values are done in a timely and accurate manner.
• Generates project manager reports and attends project management meetings as appropriate.
• For each project: tracks submittals, generates purchase orders and negotiates subcontracts and purchases.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

Experience/Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 5 years commercial plumbing/mechanical experience.
• 3 years of prior project management experience.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Excel and scheduling software is preferred.
• Experience in Design Build methodology of project development is a plus.

• Capable of climbing off/on equipment and ladders.
• Able to walk job sites.
