The role blends technical sales support, estimating, proposal development and customer service, collaborating with Sales, Service, Engineering, Finance and suppliers to craft accurate, competitive proposals from customer request through order execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent background.
• Experience in sales support, tendering, proposals, estimating or related commercial role.
• Ability to understand technical products, services and customer requirements.
• Strong financial and commercial understanding.
• Experience with sales administration and contract management.
• ERP experience; Business Central is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Salesforce experience preferred.
• Fluent English required.

Service Sales & Proposal Specialist

Indianapolis, IN | On-Site
Reports to: Service Manager

Our airport solutions client is seeking a Service Sales & Proposal Specialist to support repair, renovation, retrofit and replacement projects for its service organization.

This role combines technical sales support, estimating, proposal development and customer service. You'll work closely with Sales, Service, Engineering, Finance and external suppliers to develop accurate, competitive proposals and help move opportunities from customer request through order execution.

What You’ll Do

• Gather customer requirements from Sales and Service Managers.
• Define the scope of service offerings and develop appropriate costing and pricing strategies.
• Obtain technical and commercial quotations from internal teams and external suppliers.
• Prepare professional proposals, tenders and service quotations using value-based selling principles.
• Coordinate completed proposals with Sales and Service Managers.
• Support order management and ensure awarded work is clearly communicated and scheduled.
• Review contractual and financial requirements and help ensure stakeholders understand project obligations.
• Coordinate with Administration, Field Service, Finance, Legal and other internal teams.
• Resolve customer issues by working across departments to provide timely solutions.
• Review existing processes and help improve service sales and operational workflows.
• Support additional service-related projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience/background.
• Previous experience in sales support, tendering, proposals, estimating or a related commercial role.
• Ability to understand technical products, services and customer requirements.
• Strong financial and commercial understanding.
• Experience with sales administration and contract management.
