Cook Children’s in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Service Representative for the Admitting/Registration department. This part-time role (Third Shift) handles greeting and directing patients, escorting families to service areas, answering calls, and supporting paperwork routing in a fast-paced medical center.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, typing and computer skills, strong communication, and a willingness to obtain CPR within 30 days.

This position is responsible for directing and escorting patients and their families to the correct service area, as well as directing visitors to the appropriate service area. This position maintains a sound knowledge of JCAHO, Patient Rights and Responsibilities, HIPAA, and departmental/System policies and procedures. Must maintain integrity and attention to detail to avoid creating duplicate medical records. This position is responsible for assisting the Patient Access Specialist with assembly and routing of paperwork. Additionally, the position is responsible for answering the telephone and directing the caller to the appropriate place. The Service Representative will be required to maintain a basic knowledge of the registration department. This position does not provide patient care but may be performed in a patient care area. Education & Experience:* High School Diploma required.* Typing and computer experience required.* Strong verbal and communication skills required.* Bi-lingual preferred.Certification/Licensure: * CPR certification required within 30 days of employment.
