Job summary

Honda of Serramonte, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking a Service Porter to support the Service Department by safely moving and presenting vehicles while delivering friendly customer service. The role emphasizes organized operations, vehicle preparation, and collaboration with advisors and technicians.

You will greet customers, transport vehicles, maintain clean service lanes, and help ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds during the shift.
• Previous automotive dealership, valet, porter, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and direct vehicles to service areas.
• Transport customer and dealership vehicles safely within the service drive and lot.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of service lanes and waiting areas.
• Assist service advisors and technicians by locating, staging, and delivering vehicles.
• Perform basic vehicle prep tasks, including washing and vacuuming before delivery.
• Monitor lot organization and ensure proper parking to maximize efficiency.
• Follow dealership safety policies while delivering professional customer service.
