Job summary

Honda of Serramonte, part of Sonic Automotive, Inc., in Colma, CA, is seeking a Service Porter to move and present vehicles and deliver exceptional customer service in a busy dealership environment.

You will assist service advisors and technicians, transport vehicles safely, and help maintain clean, organized service lanes while upholding safety standards. Prior dealership or porter experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.
• Experience in automotive dealership or customer service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and assist with directing vehicles to designated service areas.
• Transport customer and dealership vehicles safely throughout the service drive, parking lot, and dealership property.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of service lanes, parking areas, customer waiting areas, and dealership grounds.
• Assist service advisors and technicians by locating, staging, and delivering vehicles as needed.
• Perform basic vehicle preparation tasks, including washing, vacuuming, fueling, and inspecting vehicles prior to customer delivery.
• Monitor lot organization and ensure vehicles are parked in designated locations to maximize operational efficiency.
• Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures while providing professional and courteous customer service.
