Job Description

The Service Greeter/Porter is responsible for moving service customer vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility, increasing customer convenience, and maintaining an orderly service parking area.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude, answers their questions, and directs them appropriately.
• Records customer information such as name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage during vehicle intake.
• Controls service traffic flow, manages parking, and assists with loaner vehicles as needed. Parks vehicles after they are written up.
• Drives vehicles safely, reports any lot damage immediately, aiming for zero lot damage.
• Retrieves customer vehicles from the cashier for pickup, waits with the vehicle if needed, and thanks customers for their business.
• Installs disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and I.D. tags in all serviced vehicles.
• Delivers keys and repair order copies to the Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle.
• Maintains a clean and safe service drive area, free of trash and debris.
• Drives vehicles to and from the service lane, stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Creates key tags for vehicles.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Follows all safety policies and reports accidents immediately.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
