Job summary

Southern Air LLC in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a self-motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our growing team. Journeymen are paid on a commission basis, offering uncapped pay potential and full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a matching 401(k).

You will diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems for residential and small commercial customers, ensure code compliance, document work, and provide excellent service.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years plumbing experience preferred.
• Plumbing degree, license, or apprenticeship required or preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to diagnose residential and small commercial plumbing issues.
• Troubleshoot to identify root causes and perform timely repairs.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and communicate with customers.
• Document work with pictures and maintain records for customers.
• Attend safety training and follow company safety protocols.

What You Will Do

• Conduct thorough inspections to diagnose residential and small commercial plumbing and drain issues
• Execute effective troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes of plumbing issues
• Perform timely and accurate repairs to resolve plumbing and drain issues
• Provide comprehensive plumbing services for residential customers
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations
• Interact professionally and honestly with customers to help them understand plumbing concerns and solutions
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain detailed records of services, including documenting pictures of before and after services have been completed
• Educate customers on best practices for their plumbing systems
• Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures
• Attend appropriate safety training as required by the company

Who You Are

• 1-5 Years Plumbing experience preferred
• Plumbing degree, license, or apprenticeship
• Current plumbing certification as required by state
• Familiarity with diagnosis and repair of residential plumbing issues
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
