Job summary

Southern Air LLC in Shreveport, LA is seeking a self-motivated Drain Technician to diagnose and repair residential and small commercial plumbing systems. You will inspect, troubleshoot, clean drains, install and maintain pipes and fixtures, and document work.

This is a full-time, in-person role with uncapped pay potential and benefits including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a matching 401(k), paid holidays and PTO, plus ongoing training and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years plumbing and drain experience preferred.
• Plumbing degree, license, or apprenticeship.
• Current plumbing certification as required by state.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with diagnosis and repair of residential plumbing issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections to diagnose residential and small commercial plumbing systems and identify drain-related issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot drain problems, including blockages, leaks, and pipe damage.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform drain cleaning, unclogging, and repair.
• Install, repair, and maintain drain pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
• Interact professionally with customers to explain plumbing concerns and solutions.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed records of services, including documenting pictures of before and after services.
• Educate customers on best practices for their drain systems.

What You Will Do

• Attend appropriate safety training as required by the company

Who You Are

• 1-5 Years Plumbing and Drain experience preferred
• Plumbing degree, license, or apprenticeship
• Current plumbing certification as required by state
• Familiarity with diagnosis and repair of residential plumbing issues
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
