Job summary

Rivian seeks a Service & Accessories Material Planner to ensure components reach the Service Warehouse at optimal inventory levels. You will manage supplier relations for on-time delivery and use analytical methods to optimize part inventories and quick-turn analysis on exceptions.

You will partner with Service Engineering, NPI, Demand Planning, Accessories, and Rivian’s global distribution network to execute MRP in Rivian’s ERP system and ensure supply continuity across our network.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in Material Planning, supply chain management or manufacturing production planning (Service/Aftermarket a plus)
• BA or Masters in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations or applicable discipline
• 2+ years of related automotive industry experience and LEAN manufacturing preferred
• ERP/MRP experience with product lifecycle management, EDI, BOMs, procurement processes (SAP preferred)
• Collaborator with a positive attitude to drive change and provide excellent customer service
• Proven analytical skills – high proficiency in Excel (advanced a plus)
• Ability to stand or sit for 8-10 hours per day; communicate via phone/email
• Ability to view, reach, and interpret documents

Responsibilities

• Utilize an MRP system to communicate service parts requirements to a global supplier network
• Work with suppliers to achieve On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) performance
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality
• Review material and process flows to identify improvement opportunities and implement lean flows
• Monitor supplier capacities and bottlenecks to meet forecasts
• Drive backlog recovery and quick turn analysis on inventory run-out
• Maintain accurate MRP master data (lead times, MOQs, lot sizing, safety stock)
• Lead inventory optimization initiatives to hit 97% service level
• Escalate material concerns, conduct shortage meetings, and report KPIs
• Manage engineering changes through NPI to ensure supply continuity
