Job summary

West Michigan International (WMI) and K&R Truck Sales is seeking a Service & Parts Advisor to be the primary contact for customers, handling parts and service inquiries, repair orders, and estimates in a friendly, customer-focused environment.

This Monday–Friday role emphasizes scheduling, inventory awareness, and excellent communication within a family-owned dealership culture. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be organized and friendly with strong communication.
• Proven ability to manage others.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong technical background in the transportation field.
• Willing to work rotating Saturday schedule (8 am–12 pm).
• Ability to handle repair estimates and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of the Drive Lane, ensuring prompt, courteous service for customers.
• Handle customer interactions, including greeting customers, answering phones, and addressing queries for parts and service.
• Open and close repair orders while adhering to warranty processes and correct parts.
• Prepare and present accurate repair estimates including parts and obtain repair authorizations.
• Keep all parties updated on diagnostics, repair progress, and parts price and status.
• Supervise the shop operation and workflow during the shift.
• Distribute work between technicians efficiently, ensuring daily inventory of technicians’ time is sold to service customers.
• Sell heavy-duty truck parts.
• Use parts catalog for parts lookup.
