Job summary

Sterling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram South in Maurice, LA is seeking a Cashier to join our team. You will process payments, assist customers, and help create a professional, welcoming experience across Service and Parts. The role is cross-trained for multiple daily tasks and may assist our Administrative Office as needed.

The position requires a positive attitude, strong math and communication skills, and a high school diploma. Full-time hours with some Saturdays are included.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred, ideally in automotive or retail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic math and handling monetary transactions.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems preferred; training provided.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and commitment to customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process payments for Service and Parts transactions (cash, card, check).
• Explain invoices clearly and direct questions to the right team.
• Balance cash drawer, receipts, and transaction records.
• Answer inquiries and direct customers to appropriate department.
• Handle multi-line calls and route as needed.
• Back up receptionist as needed.
• Provide general office and clerical support.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors, Parts team, technicians and staff.
• Uphold dealership standards for customer service and professionalism.
