Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor at Hill AFB, UT to provide comprehensive budgeting, debt management, and financial education for service members and their families on base.

You will coordinate with DoD partners, deliver workshops, conduct one-on-one counseling, and help participants create spending plans for extended absences while maintaining DoD compliance and secure communications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• If required by the contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must be able to pass the Congressally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must have one of the following certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Deliver one-on-one counseling, briefings and presentations, and referrals to resources.
• Develop and offer Personal Financial Management classes/workshops on military topics.
• Coordinate with base POC to ensure program scope and needs are met.
• Utilize virtual counseling or secure communications as required by DoD program office.
