Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families at Camp Murray, WA. Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, briefings, and referrals within DoD guidelines.

You will develop spending plans for extended absences, create educational materials, and lead PFM classes across the military lifecycle, including deployment periods, while supporting virtual counseling options as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must be able to obtain Tier 2 investigation and pass OCI.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and provide informational financial materials and workshops.
• Coordinate and publicize Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication when required.
