C & B Operations, LLC in Gettysburg, SD, is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service department at our John Deere dealership. The role focuses on maximizing customer satisfaction, growing profitable labor sales, and managing expenses while developing a high-performance team.

You will coordinate service processes, schedule workloads, oversee warranties, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance to deliver exceptional service and ROI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a service department; demonstrated experience meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Experience using Service ADVISOR™ or other computer based diagnostic repair tools preferred.
• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Experience with off road, construction, lawn, or other AG heavy equipment.
• Valid Driver's License and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage service operations within the dealership to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize return on investment by optimizing service department processes.
• Grow profitable service labor sales and exercise disciplined expense control.
• Attract, retain, and assist with the development of department personnel.
• Lead and enforce service department processes to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Oversee warranty and product program claims to ensure timely submission and maximum recovery.
• Schedule, assign, and manage workloads based on technician skill sets and capacity.
• Review work orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper billing.
• Train, develop, and evaluate service personnel; ensure training compliance and certifications.
• Manage fleet, tools, equipment, inventory, and shop organization.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with DOT and regulatory standards.
• Stay current on John Deere and competitive products.
