Job summary

Qualifications

• California General Electrician certification (DIR) or equivalent.
• 7+ years of residential electrical experience.
• 3+ years leading or supervising field technicians.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC, Title 24, and local permitting.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain electricians and apprentices.
• Lead daily huddles and weekly trainings on technical skills, safety, and customer communication.
• Conduct ride-alongs, set goals, and deliver performance reviews.
• Own electrical department revenue, gross margin, and labor efficiency targets.
• Track KPIs: average ticket, conversion rate, callbacks, memberships, and reviews.
• Coordinate with call center and dispatch to balance workload and maximize bookings.
• Build and maintain flat-rate pricing and service offerings (panel upgrades, EV chargers, surge protection, generators, lighting, rewiring).
• Ensure work meets NEC and Title 24; manage permits and inspections.
• Enforce Cal/OSHA safety standards, PPE use, and lockout/tagout practices.
• Audit completed jobs and lead root-cause reviews on callbacks.
• Manage truck stock, inventory, tools, and vehicle maintenance.
• Collaborate with HVAC and plumbing leaders on cross-trade opportunities.
• Use field service management software to review jobs, estimates, and reporting.
