Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a hands-on Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced service environment in St. Louis.

You will supervise shop and field service technicians, develop scope and labor estimates, and ensure work is documented accurately per our management system. The role requires 1–2 years of industrial leadership, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with SAP, MS Project, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting and leading a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Fundamental understanding of rotating equipment, fabrication, equipment rigging, and machine shop practices.
• Strong organizational, management, and team-building skills.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shop and field service technicians.

• Conduct warranty evaluations and plan project scheduling.

What You'll Do:

• Supervision of shop and field service technicians.
• Scope development and labor estimates for service work.
• Execution of service work in accordance with IPEG Management System. This includes accurate documentation of the work performed.
• Performing warranty evaluations.
• Understanding of project planning and production scheduling.
• Maintain a full understanding of service-related procedures and business policies.
• Ability to use SAP system.
• Managing monthly targets for both service & repair revenue and gross margin.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment,complying withcompany and industry safety regulations.
• Perform GEMBA walks, manage all onsite safety in coordination with safety team.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1- 2 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting and leading team.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook and Word).
• Fundamental understanding of rotating equipment, fabrication, equipment rigging, and machine shop practices. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of shop and field service equipment and tools.
• Strong organizational and management skills, along with cohesive team building skills.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
