Role Overview

The Service Cashier/Administrator is responsible for processing payments, reconciling repair orders and parts invoices, and handling customer transactions at the dealership.

Responsibilities

1. Inspect service repair orders and parts invoices for accuracy.
2. Reconcile repair orders by transferring information to digital records.
3. Calculate material charges and applicable taxes.
4. Collect payments via cash, check, or charge accounts, and provide receipts.
5. Complete accounting sections of repair orders.
6. Update customer service history files.
7. Deliver repair orders and invoices to the accounting department.
8. Manage keys related to repair orders and assist customers with vehicle retrieval.
9. File repair orders as directed.
10. Answer and transfer service department calls, taking messages as needed.
11. Handle sublet bills and ensure prompt customer complaint resolution.
12. Report safety or operational concerns to management.
13. Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math and comprehension skills.
• 6-12 months of relevant work experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Industry experience is a plus.
