Job summary

Truck Co is looking for a Service Foreman in Traverse City, Michigan. This role involves coordinating the daily workflow of vehicles in the shop, ensuring repairs are performed efficiently, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Preferably have a valid driver’s license, Class A CDL.
• Possess a certificate from college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of project management software and effective communication.

Job description

The Service Foreman coordinates the daily workflow of vehicles through the shop, ensures that qualified technicians perform repairs correctly and efficiently and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assign priority to each vehicle repair order and select the appropriate technician
• Oversee shop workflow
• Arrange contract repairs when work cannot be performed internally
• Inspect completed work and documentation
• Provide training and mentoring to new employees
• Monitor workspace and employees for Safety compliance
• Communicating with customers

Education, Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Valid driver’s license, Class A CDL, preferred
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of Project Management software and Microsoft Outlook
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
