Field Service Technician – Commercial Roofing (Inspector & Trainer)

Location: Remote – Based in Texas
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 Annually
Company Vehicle + Gas Card, 401K, Dental/Health/Vision Insurance, PTO, 1-2 Overnights per Week

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our Client, a recognized leader in the commercial roofing and building envelope industry, is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Field Service Technician to join their team. This role is instrumental in supporting contractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and promoting roofing products across Texas.

This is a remote role based anywhere in Texas and involves regular travel across the state, including 1–2 overnight stays per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

1. Serve as a liaison between Our Client and the commercial contracting community.
2. Perform on-site quality assurance inspections of ongoing and completed commercial roofing installations.
3. Conduct both classroom-style and hands-on product training sessions for current and prospective registered contractors.
4. Generate detailed inspection and quality assurance reports for internal teams and customers.
5. Support product education and promotion across the contracting and distribution networks.
6. Investigate warranty claims and provide field-based resolution and reporting.
7. Represent Our Client at relevant industry events and association meetings.
8. Participate in internal meetings, ongoing professional development, and company-provided training.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

1. 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the commercial roofing industry.
2. Background in quality assurance or roof inspections (preferred).
3. Strong knowledge of commercial roofing assemblies and applications.
4. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
5. Comfortable working at heights and using ladders.
6. Proficient in using computers and office productivity tools.

REQUIREMENTS & TRAVEL:

1. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
2. Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Texas.
3. Expect 1–2 overnight stays per week based on project needs.
