B&W is seeking Mechanical, Chemical, Civil Engineering, or similar Engineering Technology graduates to join our team of talented Field Service Engineers. They provide expertise and support on a broad range of B&W utility, industrial, and environmental products to our customers.

A Field Service Engineer assists experienced Service Engineers in performing pre-commissioning testing on boilers and environmental equipment, developing start-up schedules and procedures, and ensuring facilities meet pre-commissioning requirements. They also work on maintenance, inspection, and operations of existing equipment to ensure reliable operations. The engineer works with senior team members to learn about the equipment and operations, with the goal of working independently as a B&W representative at a customer's plant.

This position requires extensive travel (90%), including driving on client/customer property.

Additional Duties of the Field Service Engineers Include

• Collecting and evaluating field data.
• Working with customers, account executives, vendors, and sublet vendors under guidance from the District Engineer or senior engineer.
• Preparing technical reports, including service and special reports, estimates, and proposals.
• Participating in project startups and outages as part of a team.
• Working on existing equipment such as boiler inspections, repairs, condition assessments, and tuning.
• Providing construction technical support and outage management.

Field Service is a fast-paced job offering variety. Entry-level engineers work closely with senior staff, gaining practical knowledge of power plants and B&W products. The qualities we seek include:
