Job description

Field Service Technician – Commercial Roofing (Inspector & Trainer)
Location: Remote – Based in New Jersey
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 Annually
Company Vehicle + Gas Card,401K, Dental/Health/Vision Insurance, PTO, 1-2 Overnights per Week
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our Client, a recognized leader in the commercial roofing and building envelope industry, is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Field Service Technician to join their team. This role is instrumental in supporting contractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and promoting roofing products across New Jersey.
This is a remote role based anywhere in New Jersey and involves regular travel across the state, including 1–2 overnight stays per week.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Serve as a liaison between Our Client and the commercial contracting community.
• Perform on-site quality assurance inspections of ongoing and completed commercial roofing installations.
• Conduct both classroom-style and hands-on product training sessions for current and prospective registered contractors.
• Generate detailed inspection and quality assurance reports for internal teams and customers.
• Support product education and promotion across the contracting and distribution networks.
• Investigate warranty claims and provide field-based resolution and reporting.
• Represent Our Client at relevant industry events and association meetings.
• Participate in internal meetings, ongoing professional development, and company-provided training.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the commercial roofing industry.
• Background in quality assurance or roof inspections (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing assemblies and applications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working at heights and using ladders.
• Proficient in using computers and office productivity tools.

REQUIREMENTS & TRAVEL:

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently across New Jersey.
• Expect 1–2 overnight stays per week based on project needs
