Job summary

FirstKey Homes is seeking a Service Manager to lead the local Service Office and Field Operations, ensuring resident requests are handled efficiently and safely. You will oversee Lead Technicians, Service Coordinators, and Vendors, manage budgets, and drive operational excellence across markets with about 10% field time for inspections and team assessments.

This role emphasizes safety, performance metrics, vendor relationships, and continuous improvement to deliver an exceptional resident

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ years of experience in service, maintenance, construction, or property management leadership.
• Proven experience managing teams, including Service Technicians, Coordinators, and Vendors.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, expenses, and cost controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and service management software.
• Experience reviewing and understanding work scopes, cost estimates, and vendor contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple teams, projects, and priorities across a geographic area.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging data and reporting tools to track performance metrics, identify trends, and drive operational improvements.
• Experience using data to assess response times, service quality, resident satisfaction, and budget adherence.
• Demonstrated experience in safety compliance and operational best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead local Service Office and Field Operations teams across markets.
• Oversee safety, compliance with OSHA and health regulations, and safety culture.
• Monitor and enforce fleet safety and vehicle policies.
• Ensure timely, high-quality completion of service requests with resident satisfaction focus.
• Lead service teams and vendors with training and accountability.
• Track and report key performance metrics (service efficiency, resident satisfaction, budgets).
• Optimize daily operations for efficiency and asset integrity.
• Manage service-related budgets and vendor costs.
• Oversee vendor relationships and ensure contract compliance.
• Conduct field inspections to assess asset conditions and safety.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with leadership to align service goals with business objectives.
