Job summary

FirstKey Homes seeks a Service Manager to lead the local Service Office and Field Operations in Memphis. The role ensures resident service requests are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards, while guiding a team of technicians, coordinators, and vendors.

You will oversee budgeting, vendor contracts, and performance metrics, with about 10% field time for inspections and resident experience assessment. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of leadership experience in service, maintenance, construction, or property management.
• Proven ability to manage teams including technicians, coordinators, and vendors.
• Strong financial acumen with budget, expense and cost-control experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and service management software; ability to review scopes and vendor contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and priorities across a geographic area.
• Experience using data and reporting tools to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead local service office and field operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service.
• Direct and develop Lead Technicians, Service Coordinators, and Vendors; ensure policy alignment and budget adherence.
• Monitor service requests, preventive maintenance, and property inspections to meet standards.
• Track KPIs on service efficiency, resident satisfaction, budgets, and vendor performance.
• Oversee vendor relationships and service contracts; ensure quality work and compliance.
• Conduct field inspections to assess assets, resident experience, and team performance.
• Optimize daily operations and cost control across the market.
• Provide leadership, training, and accountability to drive high performance.
• Collaborate with leadership to align goals and drive operational excellence.
