Job summary

Herrmann Ultrasonics in Bartlett, IL is hiring a Field Service Engineer (Ultrasonic Engineer) to provide technical expertise to customers and to plan, execute, and document machine commissioning and testing.

You will support customers via phone/email, on-site visits, and training, and participate in emergency and stand-by services, including spare parts delivery. Travel across the USA, Canada and Mexico is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of mechanical and electrical service experience.
• Basic theoretical knowledge in electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work with high/low voltage circuits.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel within USA, Canada and Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to customers.
• Plan, implement and document machine commissioning.
• Execute Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and customer training.
• Provide phone/email, on-site and in-house support.
• Handle emergency and stand-by services including spare parts delivery.

Job profile

• Responsible for providing technical expertise to our customers
• Planning, implementation and documentation of machine and equipment commissioning
• Execute Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing and customer personnel training
• Providing technical support to our customers including phone/email support, on-site, and in-house customer visits
• Assuming emergency and stand-by services including provision of shipping and or delivery of spare parts
• Assisting with technical trainings and customer seminars

Requirements

• At least 1-3 years of mechanical and electrical service experience
• Basic theoretical knowledge in electrical and mechanical engineering principles
• Electrical experience with high/low voltage circuits and ability to read electrical schematics
• Excellent communications skills and motivated to build long term relationships with customers and colleagues
• Willingness to work hands-on and ability to travel within the USA, Canada and Mexico
