Job summary

Bopat Electric seeks experienced Commercial Service Electricians to troubleshoot and repair commercial electrical systems in Maryland. You will diagnose, install, and upgrade panels, breakers, transformers, and lighting, while performing preventive maintenance and inspections.

Independent work, local travel, and ongoing training are part of the role. We value licensed professionals with customer-facing experience and a solid understanding of NEC and three-phase systems.

Qualifications

• Maryland Journeyman license (or reciprocity).
• Commercial electrical service and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair commercial electrical systems.
• Experience working with customers in occupied commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of three-phase systems, switchgear, transformers, panelboards, lighting and motor controls.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• NEC knowledge; OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to commercial service calls and troubleshoot issues.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain commercial electrical systems and equipment.
• Install, replace and upgrade panels, breakers, transformers, switchgear, lighting and motor controls.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Respond to commercial service calls and troubleshoot electrical issues.

• Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and electrical inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and one‑line diagrams.
• Build strong customer relationships by providing professional, high‑quality service.
• Complete service documentation accurately and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Follow all National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, and company safety standards.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Active Maryland Journeyman Electrician License or the ability to obtain one through reciprocity.
• Commercial electrical service and troubleshooting experience.
• Proven ability to independently diagnose and repair commercial electrical systems.
• Experience working directly with customers in occupied commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of three‑phase electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, panelboards, lighting, lighting controls, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and one‑line diagrams.
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Compensation ranges may vary based on individual experience.
