Job summary

Willis Automotive in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Service Assistant to greet customers and maintain a clear service drive under the supervision of the Service Manager. You will perform duties within the shop's objectives and policies to ensure smooth service flow.

Responsibilities include preparing and checking in customer vehicles, assisting with loaners, keeping the service drive clean and free of debris, and supporting the service team with deliveries and occasional test drives as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/equivalent preferred.
• Acceptable driving record per insurance carrier.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to meet needs of service and dispatch areas, including occasional Saturdays.
• Basic computer skills.
• Working knowledge of operating manual and standard transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Operate all vehicles in a safe, professional and courteous manner.
• Prep and check in all customer vehicles.
• Assist with re-delivery of customer vehicle.
• Check loaner car for any items that customer may leave behind.
• Maintain cleanliness of Service Drive.
• Keep service drive clear of debris.
• Assist customers in delivering and fueling vehicles.
• Assist with checking in and out loaner vehicles when Concierge is unavailable.
• Assist the Service team with test driving vehicles, if needed.

Primary Function:
