Job summary

Willis Automotive is seeking a Service Porter in Des Moines, IA to maintain vehicle cleanliness and support service and detail departments. You will move vehicles, wash customer and Willis vehicles, and help keep the service drive tidy while interacting with guests.

Must have at least 1 year of customer service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a clean driving record. A flexible schedule, including Saturdays, is required. Training provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience
• High School Diploma/equivalent preferred
• Acceptable driving record per insurance carrier
• Able to work a flexible schedule to meet needs of service and dispatch areas, including occasional Saturdays
• Basic computer skills
• Working knowledge of operating manual and standard transmissions

Responsibilities

• Washing customer and Willis vehicles
• Operate all vehicles in a safe, professional and courteous manner
• Follow documented procedures to clean vehicles using recommended hand tools
• Assist customers in delivering and fueling vehicles, entry into locked vehicles, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of Service Drive; clean shop floors for service and detail departments as needed
• Meet and Greet customers on Service Drive
• Assist in checking out and checking of loaner vehicles
• Keep service drive clear of debris

Primary Function:

This position is responsible for maintaining visual and cleanliness standards in service customer vehicles and the service and detail departments. This position assists the Technicians with moving vehicles through the service process. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards, and policies of Willis Automotive.
