Job summary

Thompson Tractor is seeking a Dispatcher to support the branch Service Department with administrative duties, phone calls, quotations, work orders, and time adjustments.

You will dispatch Field Service Technicians, assign jobs to Shop Technicians, obtain purchase orders, and ensure accurate coding and timely closing of orders. Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience using Word and Excel, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and basic typing skills required.
• Strong telephone, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with Service Department staff.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming branch calls and messages.
• Produce quotations and estimates; manage work orders.
• Open/close work orders and apply correct codes and tax information.
• Dispatch Field Service Technicians and assign jobs to Shop Technicians; track time.
• Obtain Purchase Orders from customers as needed; ensure proper charging to work orders.
• Fill in for supervisor when needed and maintain timely order closures.
