Job summary

At Technical is seeking a Service Desk-ITSC professional to handle IT service requests on Unix/NT platforms. The role involves logging, routing and escalation of issues, and managing user accounts, requiring TS/SCI clearance and a solid Windows/Office background.

Candidates should have an associates degree and up to 5 years of experience. Familiarity with Remedy is a plus, and Unix knowledge is advantageous for this position located in Fort Meade, MD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Background in TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Associate degree required.
• Experience with Remedy ticketing system a plus.
• Unix experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responds to internal and external IT service requests for IT service on Unix and NT servers.
• Notifies users of receipt of Web- or email-submitted requests.
• Logs and tracks inquiries using a service request management system and maintains history records.
• Categorizes, routes and escalates requests as needed.
• Performs account creation, modification and deletion responsibilities.
