Job Description

Job Title: Service Shuttle Driver

Reports To: Service Manager

Exempt or Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

Full-Time or Part-Time: Full Time/Part Time

Job Summary

Position with primary responsibility for delivery and pickup of customers' trucks from/to shop.

Essential Job Functions

• Deliver fixed trucks to customers in a timely & safe manner.
• Pickup trucks to be repaired from customers in a timely & safe manner.
• Maintain clean and safe shuttle trucks.
• Obtain proper signatures for proof of deliveries if required.

In addition to the essential functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity, and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, respect the work environment, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and assist co-workers. The employee may also perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must meet company standards for a clean driving record.
• Must have a current driver’s license.
• CDL license and current medical card (minimum class B).

Machines/Tools/Equipment

• Basic office equipment (copier, calculator, fax, etc.).

Working Conditions

• Primarily a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. Significant day travel in truck.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting/Standing/Walking: Total hours of sitting at one time - 2 hours; in a typical workday - 6.5 hours. Standing at one time - 0.5 hours; in a typical workday - 1 hour. Walking in a typical workday - 1 hour.
• Talking/Hearing/Vision: Communicate with persons in person, on the phone, and in groups. Vision includes near, midrange, far, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying: Carry parts (up to 50 pounds) from shipping to truck and unload at customer location. Use forklifts and hand trucks as needed. Typical weight carried is 1+ pounds, maximum 50 pounds, over 20-100 feet, about 18 times per day, for 1 hour at a time. Push/pull skids up to 500 pounds with a pallet jack.

Other Essential Job Duties

Physical activities include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, reaching (above shoulder, at waist/desk level, below waist), handling, fingering, and feeling, performed at varying frequencies as per the physical requirements.
