Jgpete is seeking a Service Department Manager to lead the auto-service operations. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and performance monitoring to drive efficiency and profitability.

The role requires maintaining service records, coordinating with manufacturing and warranty processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate estimates and timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all service department staff.
• Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the service department.
• Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the factory.
• Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
• Keeps compliant with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations (e.g., OSHA, hazardous waste).
• Ensures customers are greeted promptly and provided fair estimates on costs and time for repairs and maintenance.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan to promote new and repeat business.
• Holds weekly department meetings and monitors daily productivity reports and payroll records.
