Job summary

Everglades Equipment Group is seeking an organized assistant to support the Service Manager at our Florida locations. You will handle customer inquiries, open and track work orders, and maintain the service library and department records to ensure timely operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic accounting knowledge, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a mechanical inclination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet functions.
• General understanding of mechanical/technical terms preferred.
• Mechanically inclined and able to assist service operations.

Responsibilities

• Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
• Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced.
• Maintains the service library with current information (manuals, bulletins, multimedia) under the Service Manager.
• Maintains Service Department filing and records.
• Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders.
• Assist in answering service phone calls.
• Maintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders.
• May prepare Service Technician efficiency reports and other reports as needed.
• May process warranty and/or product improvement claims including charges and follow-up.
• Other related duties as instructed by management.
