Trinity Health Corp. in Maywood, IL seeks a Service Coordinator in the operating room to support smooth patient care operations with clerical tasks and chart preparation.

You will enter data, coordinate OR scheduling, and ensure accurate medical records while communicating with staff, patients, and families. Evening shift, full-time, with benefits starting day one; compensation $15.45–$19.68 per hour and a family-friendly work culture.

Formación

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with patient charts and records is preferred.

• Facilitate communication about patient conditions and concerns among staff, patients and families.
• Enter data, prepare patient charts for admissions and maintain medical records.
• Audit charts for missing or incomplete records.
• Process and requisition patient care service orders as per physician instructions.
• Schedule OR admissions to optimize OR time and coordinate with care teams.
• Communicate with departments to source items needed for patient care.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Evening Shift Description: Posting Job Description The Service Coordinator in the operating room Facilitates smooth operations of a patient service area by providing clerical support for healthcare team members, patients, and families on an inpatient unit. Facilitates communication with and between staff members, patients, and family members to ensure that information related to patient conditions and concerns is relayed in a timely manner. Access and operates paging system, phones, call lights, and internal Information Technology Help Desk to locate and communicate with staff and maintain smooth operation of unit. Enters data into computer, prepares new patient charts for admissions, and ensures appropriate forms and paperwork are in order to maintain accurate medical records. Audits charts to identify missing or incomplete records. Processes and requisitions patient care service orders based on physician orders and instruction from professional staff. Processes completed records following patient discharge. OR Scheduling - Arranges for scheduled patients arrival into the O.R. to reduce or eliminate unused O.R. time. Mobilizes scheduled or unscheduled cases when scheduling opportunities arise. Communicates to key members of the health care team to ensure use of O.R. time. Communicates with various departments of items needed for patient care. Cross-trains to other assignments as directed by the Nurse Manager.

Schedule

Full-time, Evening Shift 1:00pm-9:30pm, Monday-Friday. No weekends and no holidays.

Minimum Education

Required: High School Diploma

Preferred: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

Compensation

15.45 - 19.68 USD Hourly. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
