Job Description
Work Type: Part time, 24 hours a week.
Location: Magnolia Acres – 67 units, 108 Deborah Drive, Angleton, TX 77515.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate, organize, problem‑solve, and provide results for residents.
- Coordinate programs and activities for residents.
- Serve as liaison to community agencies, network with service providers, and seek new services.
- Identify low‑cost service providers and negotiate discounts.
- Engage residents to identify needs and refer to agencies as needed.
- Develop a Resource Directory of state and local providers.
- Sponsor educational events covering health care, agency support, life skills, and referral resources.
- Provide quality customer service, addressing concerns and assisting with basic needs.
- Assist residents in acquiring and using community services such as housekeeping, meals, transportation, personal services, financial assistance, and day‑care counseling.
- Monitor, document, and relay feedback or concerns from residents and families.
- Manage internal and external relationships with appropriate communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field (preferred).
- Two or more years of experience delivering social services to elderly and/or family populations (preferred).
- Working knowledge of supportive services and local community resources.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem‑solve, and deliver measurable results for residents.
