Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a CLOIP specialist to implement the Community Living Options Information Process for adults at the Mexia Center. The role emphasizes interviewing consumers and families, coordinating services, and maintaining accurate records in SmartCare.
The candidate should have strong writing and communication skills, knowledge of community resources for developmental disabilities, and the ability to train professionals and staff.
The person who fills this position is responsible for implementing the Community Living Options Information Process (CLOIP) for adult residents of State Supported Living Centers, primarily Mexia State Supported Living Center. This position prefers two (2) years of experience assisting consumers with disabilities and their families in identifying specific needs and developing plans to meet those needs. Experience working with residential staff focusing on the identification of individual needs, and planning and coordinating service provision to meet those needs is preferred. Exceptional communication and teaching skills, the ability to build working relationships, to conduct effective interviews, and to gather/organize information from observations and interviews are essential. Writing skills are critical. Knowledge of community resources that support people with Developmental Disabilities to participate in community life is essential. Computer literacy and data entry skills are required
Valid Texas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.
High School graduate plus two (2) years’ experience with IDD qualifications or associate degree in a Human Service Field or bachelor's degree in any field.
Hours: M-F 8AM-5PM
Salary: Annually $35,000.00 / Hourly $16.8269
