Job summary

ABB E-mobility is seeking an E-mobility Service Coordinator to ensure reliability and performance of ABB's EV charging infrastructure. You will coordinate service activities, support field engineers, and act as a trusted contact for customers.

This role follows a hybrid work model and is open to candidates located anywhere within Virginia. You will manage work orders, prioritize service requests, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical/engineering field; 3+ years as a Service Coordinator or similar.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma with 6+ years of field service coordination.
• Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage service requests, inquiries, and calls with timely resolutions.
• Coordinate and schedule field service activities, technicians, parts, and logistics.
• Serve as hub between customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure SLAs and contractual commitments are met.
• Create, manage and monitor work orders from quote to closure.
• Prioritize requests and assign proper service category.
• Maintain records and timely system updates.
• Communicate schedule changes to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service.
• Share insights with Product Management and Sales.

As an E-mobility Service Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of ABB's EV charging infrastructure. By coordinating service activities, supporting field engineers, and serving as a trusted point of contact for customers, you will help deliver an exceptional service experience while contributing to the growth of sustainable transportation.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage customer service requests, inquiries, and service calls, ensuring timely resolution and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Coordinate and schedule field service activities, including technician assignments, spare parts, logistics, and required resources
• Serve as a communication hub between customers, field service teams, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure service activities are delivered in accordance with contractual commitments, service level agreements (SLAs), and customer expectations
• Create, manage, and monitor work orders from quotation and planning through completion and closure
• Evaluate service requests, determine priority and scope, and assign the appropriate service category (project, demand, campaign, or warranty)
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and timely system updates to support operational excellence
• Adjust schedules and priorities as business needs change, proactively communicating updates to all stakeholders
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve service performance, identify growth opportunities, and support business objectives
• Share field service insights with Product Management and Sales teams to drive continuous improvement and enhance customer solutions

Qualifications For The Role

• Associate Degree in a technical or engineering discipline and 3+ years of experience in a Service Coordinator, Project Management, or similar role. In lieu of a degree, candidates with a High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant field service coordination experience will be considered. A Bachelor's degree is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across different systems and data management tools
• Self-motivated and proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in the electrical industry; knowledge of the EV charging industry is highly desirable
• Proficiency in business systems such as SAP, Salesforce, CRM platforms, and other operational tools is preferred
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
