WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

The Service Technician is responsible for performing customer service functions with diligence, purpose, and a sense of urgency while maintaining high standards for quality service.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Handling service requests efficiently and prioritizing to meet customer needs.
  2. Compiling data for estimates, bids, specifications, and reports.
  3. Negotiating and administering contracts, including final payments.
  4. Maintaining databases for contracts and contractor statuses.
  5. Communicating with site contractors for smooth contract processes.
  6. Initiating billable service quotes for site activities beyond scope.
  7. Reviewing project cost reports for accuracy.
  8. Coordinating parts with Engineering and Materials teams.
  9. Developing service scope, requirements, and labor estimates.
  10. Scheduling services and coordinating labor with various teams and contractors.
  11. Following up on customer satisfaction and providing training and feedback.
  12. Performing clerical tasks and ensuring current documentation.
  13. Initiating corrective actions for quality improvements.
  14. Participating in meetings for continuous improvement.
  15. Performing other duties as assigned.
YOU HAVE:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write reports and correspondence.
  • Effective presentation skills and responsiveness.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Epicor ERP is a plus.
