WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
The Service Technician is responsible for performing customer service functions with diligence, purpose, and a sense of urgency while maintaining high standards for quality service.
Responsibilities include:
- Handling service requests efficiently and prioritizing to meet customer needs.
- Compiling data for estimates, bids, specifications, and reports.
- Negotiating and administering contracts, including final payments.
- Maintaining databases for contracts and contractor statuses.
- Communicating with site contractors for smooth contract processes.
- Initiating billable service quotes for site activities beyond scope.
- Reviewing project cost reports for accuracy.
- Coordinating parts with Engineering and Materials teams.
- Developing service scope, requirements, and labor estimates.
- Scheduling services and coordinating labor with various teams and contractors.
- Following up on customer satisfaction and providing training and feedback.
- Performing clerical tasks and ensuring current documentation.
- Initiating corrective actions for quality improvements.
- Participating in meetings for continuous improvement.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
YOU HAVE:
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and write reports and correspondence.
- Effective presentation skills and responsiveness.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Epicor ERP is a plus.
