Job summary

FläktGroup SEMCO seeks a Service Coordinator to coordinate commissioning, warranty, and service for large-scale commercial and industrial projects. You will support a variety of complex projects requiring strong knowledge of HVAC systems and energy recovery equipment.

You will balance schedules and resources, guide end users, commissioning teams, and sales representatives, and provide technical guidance to ensure on-time execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Technical associate degree with two years field experience or four years equivalent in HVAC or building automation.
  • Knowledge of commercial or critical infrastructure and building subsystems.
  • 3+ years coordinating with teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Superior analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and manuals.
  • Ability to support multiple teams across complex projects.
  • Excellent customer service with desire to exceed internal and external expectations.
  • Ability to work independently or drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize schedules and allocate resources to improve efficiency and execution.
  • Coordinate commissioning and repair activities related to energy recovery, fan wall, controls, and HVAC systems.
  • Review work orders, diagrams, project schedules, and related materials to determine tasks.
  • Manage challenging projects to keep scope, schedule, and budget on track across multiple entities.
  • Build synergies with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve design problems.
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Advise leadership regarding customer satisfaction and product improvements.

Job description

As a Service Coordinator for the FläktGroup SEMCO team, you will coordinate with a diverse group of service technicians through the commissioning, warranty, and service of large-scale commercial and industrial projects. You will support a variety of complex projects requiring strong knowledge of various equipment across commercial and mission critical environments. You must possess strong project management skills to ensure site support is balanced to optimize project schedule. You will provide advice, guidance, and share technical expertise with end users, commissioning/service teams, and sales representatives.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Optimize schedules and resource allocation by balancing team competencies and experience with project requirements to improve efficiency and execution.
  • Coordinate commissioning and repair activities related to energy recovery, fan wall, controls, and other HVAC systems.
  • Review work orders, diagrams, project schedules, and related materials to determine tasks to be performed in commissioning or rework activities.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing challenging projects with the objective of keeping project scope, schedule, and budget on track while mitigating the impact on customers’ building/experience. This requires working with multiple entities on a project – building owners, general and mechanical contractors, engineers, and associated servicing contractors.
  • Build synergies with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve complex design problems with fielded systems.
  • Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Advise leadership regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
Position Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a technical associate degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent related experience in HVAC, building automation, or technical environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial or critical infrastructure, automatic controls, building automation systems or other building subsystems.
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating with teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Superior analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
  • Ability to support multiple teams across various complex projects.
  • Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed internal and external customer expectations.
  • Ability to work independently or drive results across teams in a timely manner.
Preferred:
  • Proven project management skills that demonstrate the ability to lead initiatives and manage team outputs under tight deadlines.
  • Strong administrational experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with the ability to present in a professional manner to clients and internal teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree with four years of field experience or six years of equivalent related field experience in HVAC or building automation.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping customers succeed.
Position Qualifications:
  • Excellent Organizational and Communication Skills (verbal and written).
  • Self-motivated and able to work at times with little or no supervision.
  • Computer Literate with General use of MS Office to include. Ability to use Excel at a moderate level.
  • Experience in a Corporate Office Environment.
  • Ability to work with Cross-functional Departments.
  • Positive-outgoing team player that works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some Manufacturing or HVAC/R Service Experience is helpful.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
