Job summary

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license; CDL is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a shop foreman or lead mechanic.
• Knowledge of truck parts, equipment, and repairs.
• Experience in ordering parts, parts coordination, or service advisor role is an asset.
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose components of trucks and advise on repairs.
• Write repair orders and communicate with drivers and owners to determine problems and solutions.
• Schedule and assign jobs to staff according to skills.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas and ensure tools are properly maintained.
• Road test and dyno test trucks to verify repairs are complete.
• Assist in parts availability and warranty determinations.
• Ensure timely updates to customers on completion times and costs.
