Job summary
IMA Automation USA Inc is seeking a field-based electrical automation engineer to provide remote and on-site support for automation equipment and software. The role requires troubleshooting electrical circuits, updating drawings, and releasing components for purchase while aligning with safety requirements.
Responsibilities include wiring schematics, BOM creation, installation support, and travel up to 50% to support customers and other IMA sites.
Qualifications
- Electrical engineering degree or equivalent with automation experience.
- Pharmaceutical/biotech unit ops knowledge a plus.
- Experience with Rockwell RSLogix/Studio5000 or Siemens software.
- Experience with Cognex and Keyence vision systems.
- Experience with Robots: Epson, Fanuc, Staubli.
- Willingness to travel 25-50% domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot AC up to 600VAC and DC 24V circuits and PLC I/O.
- Troubleshoot motion controllers and servo/cam systems.
- Debug software for PLCs, HMIs, vision cameras, and SCADA.
- Replace and configure electrical components in control systems.
- Release spare parts for supply chain and procurement.
- Create/update wiring schematics, BOMs, and wiring diagrams.
- Support installations and service calls with customers.
- Travel up to 25-50% and assist with service travel.
