Job summary

Smart & Final in Palm Springs is seeking a Service Clerk to join our store operations team. You will assist customers, keep carts tidy, and help load merchandise into vehicles for customers. You will also monitor pricing and keep shelves organized in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires basic English, physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and a willingness to work as part of a team. Experience in retail and PC use is a plus.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product pricing codes, shelf tags.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with the loading of merchandise into shopping carts and loading to their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelf for check stand personnel.
• Return merchandise to the proper shelf and restock as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of store entrance and restrooms throughout the day.
