Job summary

Smart & Final in Upland, CA is hiring a Service Clerk to support customers and operate store operations. You will manage carts, assist customers, check prices, and help keep aisles tidy and stocked.

Qualifications

• Read and write English; interact with customers and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information clearly.
• Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs, up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize shopping carts inside the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with loading of merchandise into shopping carts and loading of their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelf for check stand personnel.
• Return merchandise to shelves and face items; fix misplacements.
• Maintain cleanliness of store entrance and restrooms; mop and sweep as needed.
