Job summary

Smart & Final is hiring a Service Clerk for the 470 Los Angeles location. You will assist customers, manage carts, check prices, and help with loading and parking lot duties at our bustling store.

The role requires strong English communication, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and basic PC/Outlook skills. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced retail environment with community focus.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English and interact with customers.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions and product labels.
• Able to write simple correspondence.
• Able to present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed but simple written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carts and assist customers with purchases and loading.
• Check prices on products and return merchandise to shelves.
• Assist with parking lot and store maintenance tasks.
• Ensure store cleanliness: entrances, restrooms, aisles.
• Support check stand staff by pulling back stock and facing shelves.
