Job summary

Smart & Final in Highland, CA is seeking a Service Clerk to assist customers, stock shelves, and maintain carts and parking lot areas. You will help load merchandise into vehicles and ensure accurate pricing is displayed for check stand personnel, contributing to a fast-paced, customer-focused shopping experience.

The role requires basic English literacy, minimal PC/Outlook skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Read and write English and interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, pricing codes, and memos.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Retail Management Certificate is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into shopping carts and into their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel.
• Return go-backs to shelves and keep aisles organized and clean.
• Monitor cleanliness of store entrance and restrooms throughout the day.
