Vortex Industries' Columbus Service Center is seeking a Service Center General Manager – Commercial Door Operations to lead daily operations, drive profitability, and set the standard for safety and customer satisfaction. You will own the installation and service operation, guide a skilled team, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

This role requires 10+ years in the door industry and 5+ years leading operations with full P&L accountability.

Qualifications

10+ years in the door industry.
5+ years leading operations with full P&L accountability.
Proven budgeting and performance reporting experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills; self-starter and organized.
Background in outside sales and face-to-face customer development.
Ability to build teams and resolve conflict constructively.
Technical aptitude and mechanical problem-solving ability.
Strategic thinker who turns needs into action.
Experience leading meetings with exempt and non-exempt teams.

Comfort working in a fiscally conservative environment.

Responsibilities

Own Service Center performance: operations, staffing, expenses, and profitability.
Champion continuous improvement to lower costs and elevate service levels.
Instill customer-first standards at every touchpoint to maximize retention.
Hire, develop, and retain high-caliber talent; provide coaching and reviews.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive productivity and cost reductions.
Ensure compliance with policies and OSHA requirements; maintain safety culture.
Maintain understanding of each role to optimize planning, scheduling, and execution.
Travel to job sites and company meetings as needed.
