Job summary

Allied Orion Group in Colorado Springs seeks a maintenance technician to prepare vacant apartment homes for move-in and ensure standards are met. You will perform repairs, painting, cleaning, and inspections to designate units ready for occupancy.

The role requires using hand and power tools, with responsibilities spanning plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general maintenance inside and outside units. OSHA and Fair Housing knowledge are appreciated.

Qualifications

• Must be skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• May be required to handle plumbing repairs, tile work, appliance repair, carpentry repairs, electrical repairs and all facets of apartment make ready.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical or other malfunctions and make repairs or correct problems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for move-in.
• Review the make-ready board and take direction from the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager to determine action to be taken on apartment homes.
• Make all repairs/replacements necessary for unit to be occupied as outlined on the make-ready checklist.
• Apply touch-up and full-paints as needed to interior and exterior of apartment homes.
• Clean out all trash from apartment homes before, during and after make-ready activity.
• Inspect completed apartment homes and schedules any necessary follow-up work before designating the unit as “Ready”.
